Plateosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur from the Late Triassic period, about 214 to 204 million years ago. Measuring up to 10 meters long and weighing 4 tons, it had a long neck, small head, and strong limbs, suited for bipedal and quadrupedal movement. Ideal for ages 7 to 10, its teeth were designed for chewing tough plants, and its fossils, found across Europe, provide key insights into the evolution of sauropodomorphs.
