These pages introduce young artists, ages 5–10, to the distinctive Tabby—a cat type known for unique coat patterns, not tied to a specific breed. Tabbies display striking stripes, swirls, spots, or bands, often marked with an “M” on the forehead. Their styles include classic swirled, mackerel striped, spotted, and ticked, in colors from browns and grays to oranges and silvers.
Try pastels or markers in brown, gray, orange, and silver. Start with light strokes, then add shading to stripes and spots for depth.
